Fronteiras Imagárias brings together Colombian saxophonist Antônio Arnedo and Brazilians Benjamim Taubkin (piano), Sérgio Reze (drums) and João Taubkin (bass), in yet another musical statment on Latin America unity.

In 2005, a beautiful experience of integration and musical discoveries of the continent began, through the project América Contemporânea - a collective of nine musicians from seven countries in South America.

“In our first performance in São Paulo, I was surprised by the news that a Colombian saxophonist was in the city and wanted to meet us. It was Antônio Arnedo - who joined us on that magical night ”. Says Benjamin.

Since then, Arnedo and Taubkin have met several times in Brazil and Colombia, where the Brazilian musician can better understand the Colombian's role as the creator of a current within modern Colombian instrumental music.

“Antonio has been a reference and inspiration for young musicians for his creative mix of Colombian elements and contemporary jazz”. - adds Benjamin.

More recently, musicians have joined with drummer Sérgio Reze and bassist João Taubkin to record the CD “Fronteiras Imagárias”, which features 4 compositions by Arnedo and two by Benjamim.
